Founded by Maria Victoria Garcia and Edna Rivera in May 2025, our Architectural studio merges refined aesthetics with a warm, approachable process that guides projects from first sketch to final build. Together, we create spaces that are elegant, purposeful, and built to endure—whether a cozy interior, a community-focused development, or a commercial space with impact. We partner closely with clients, listening deeply and designing with intention, so each project reflects not just our expertise, but the unique vision of those who will call it theirs.

License Number: AR103823 Edna Rivera is a Florida Registered Architect and the Founder & Vice-President of Emphasis Architecture, INC., where she directs, design and manages a wide range of projects as a Senior Architect. After earning her Bachelor in Architecture from the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) in the Dominican Republic in 2007 and her Master’s in Sustainable Design in 2015 UNIBE, Edna moved to South Florida in 2016 where she worked effectively to have her Bachelor's recognized by NCARB and eventually getting her Florida RA license in 2024. Edna has over nine years working in the South Florida area working with homeowners, interior designers, contractor’s and developers bringing their dreams into life by providing cost efficient, timeless and elegant solutions to their projects. In May 2025, after having worked and mentoring Ma. Victoria for several years, we evolved into establishing Emphasis Architecture, INC. With our vision, We ensure that every project benefits from both proven industry knowledge and the latest advancements in architectural design. This unique blend empowers us to deliver creative, efficient, and future-focused solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients.
Ma. Victoria Garcia O.
Master of Architecture - President
Maria Victoria Garcia, Master of Architecture and President of Emphasis Architecture Inc., brings a comprehensive, hands-on approach to every project, guiding architectural design from concept through completion. Her passion for the built environment began in Venezuela, where she shadowed her father’s civil engineering work and grew up immersed in the family legacy of design and construction through GADU, founded by her grandfather Gilberto Garcia, and MGM, founded by her father Marco Garcia. These early experiences shaped her lifelong commitment to architecture. In 2017, Maria Victoria moved to Miami and pursued her education at Miami Dade College before enrolling in the Accelerated Master of Architecture program at Florida International University, where she graduated in May 2025. Following graduation, she is continuing her path toward licensure as a Registered Architect in the state of Florida. Her professional journey began during her first semester in college, when she joined Edge Engineering, LLC as an intern under the mentorship of Edna P. Rivera. That three-month internship evolved into a full-time role and, ultimately, into their partnership in establishing Emphasis Architecture Inc. in May 2025.
